How to apply Hozon Finishes 2k Hard Wax Oil and 2k Hard Wax Oil for Natural Wood
Preparation
- ✔ Make sure the surface is free of old finishes, dirt and stains.
✔ For pigmented products: Use sandpaper with a maximum grit size of 180 for best adhesion.
✔ Mix only the amount of oil needed. Use within 2–3 hours at 20 °C.
Application
- ✔ Spread the oil with a plastic disc, squeegee, roller or brush.
✔ Leave on for 20–30 minutes and apply more to dry areas.
✔ Work in with a nylon pad for even distribution.
✔ Wipe off excess oil with a lint-free cloth or soft polishing paper.
✔ Allow to cure. Apply a second coat to surfaces subject to heavy wear.
Extra steps for Natural Wood 2c hard wax oil
- ✔ Wipe away white streaks for a cleaner finish – or leave them in for a bright white shade!
Curing times
- ✔ Natural Line : 14 days before exposure to liquids.
✔ Sensei Base Oil : Reapply after 24–48 hours.
✔ 2c series : Fully cured in 5–7 days.
